Let me correct you:
last year the gate city girls won district & region & Ashton Bishop placed 3rd at the state meet
GC's girls may be good in track when it comes to the district and the region, but if you notice, at state last year, Ashton was the only one who scored ANYTHING for GC, so therefore she placed third (teamwise!) in the state...alone.
Personally I don't think that we can sit here and pick a winner for this years track becuz in most events there is a different winner every time.
I don't thnik that we can truely pick a track team since track is such an unpredictable sport. And the fact that it is al about who shows up and who doesn't, who is feeling good who isn't, and who wants to win or if you are just running to take up time.
yeah you are right about ashton getting all the points at state (a little over 30 i think) --But those girls had WELL over 100 points at district and region (they have very talented athletes).. you cant deny that.

A girl to watch out for in the next few years is Lyndsay lawson...She is currently a 7th grader at Coeburn. Today was the first day that we had middle school track practice. She ran a 1:10 400....a 30.17 200 ....and a 13.56 100

fierce, considering the fact that Knight32 is only 16 years old I don't think he is old enough to be Lyndsay's parent, nor is he even related to her. Not everyone that comes on here and compliments some one is a parent or relative. So in this case you guessed wrong.
